Achuaben Community School Classrooms
Project Overview
In response to the educational crisis caused by ongoing conflict in the Anglophone regions of Cameroon, United Action for Development (UNADEV) launched the Achuaben Community School Classrooms Project in the South West Region.
The goal was clear: provide a safe, functional, and accessible learning environment for children in a rural area where schools had either shut down or never existed. With the support of BADECA World Wide, diaspora partners, and local leaders, UNADEV constructed and officially handed over two classroom blocks to the Achuaben community.

Restore access to basic education for children in conflict-affected areas.

Reduce long-distance travel and dropout rates due to lack of school infrastructure.

Empower local communities through inclusive development and education equity.

Promote Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) in underserved rural zones.

Sustainability
UNADEV is working with Parent-Teacher Associations (PTAs) and local education stakeholders to ensure the classrooms remain maintained and equipped. Future plans include installing benches, distributing books, and training teachers in collaboration with the Ministry of Basic Education.
