Her Future Her Right
Empowering Girls Through Education in South West Cameroon
1. Project Summary
“Her Future, Her Right” is a flagship initiative by United Action for Development (UNADEV) designed to promote girl child education in vulnerable and conflict-affected communities across the South West Region of Cameroon. The project aims to increase school enrollment and retention among disadvantaged girls by providing scholarships, educational materials, and mentorship opportunities. In parallel, the initiative actively works with families, traditional leaders, and educators to challenge and transform cultural norms that inhibit girls' right to education.

-
Reduce school dropout rates caused by poverty, early marriage, or lack of support.
-
Conduct sensitization campaigns in 5 rural communities, reaching over 1,000 individuals with messages on the value of girls’ education.
-
Establish a peer mentorship network that fosters leadership, confidence, and resilience among adolescent girls.
